Application Process via My Solar Platform

Users initiate the application process directly through the My Solar website by submitting a basic application request to access the solar management system.

Verify Email and Admin Registration Approval

After submission, the application is reviewed by the My Solar administration team. User registration is approved only after initial validation to ensure authenticity and platform eligibility.

Solar System Details Submission (KYC-Based)

Once approved, users are required to submit detailed solar system information along with KYC-related data, including system capacity, installation location, owner details, and installer information.

Document Upload

Users upload mandatory documents such as KYC documents, installation certificates, system specifications, warranty papers, and other required approvals for further processing.

Verification & Review

The submitted details and documents undergo a thorough verification and review process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

System Setup & Activation

After successful verification, the solar system is configured and activated on the My Solar platform, enabling access to monitoring, management, and performance tracking features.

Payment Setup & Confirmation

After system activation, applicable service or installation-related payments are recorded and managed within the platform for transparency and tracking purposes.

Subsidy Benefit Processing & Tracking

Eligible subsidy benefits are processed and tracked through the platform, allowing users to monitor subsidy status, approvals, and credited benefits in a structured manner.

How does PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana work?:
The scheme provides for a subsidy of 60% of the solar unit cost for systems up to 2kW capacity and 40 percent of additional system cost for systems between 2 to 3kW capacity. The subsidy has been capped at 3kW capacity. At current benchmark prices, this will mean Rs 30,000 subsidy for 1kW system, Rs 60,000 for 2kW systems and Rs 78,000 for 3kW systems or higher.
Who are eligible to apply for the Scheme?:
The applicant must be an Indian citizen. Must own a house with a roof that is suitable for installing solar panels. The household must have a valid electricity connection. The household must not have availed of any other subsidy for solar panels.
How to apply for PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana?:
First, the interested consumer has to register on the National Portal. This has to be done by selecting the state and the electricity distribution company. The National Portal will assist the households by providing relevant information such as appropriate system sizes, benefits calculator, vendor rating etc. The consumers can choose the vendor and the make of the Roof Top Solar unit they wish to get installed.
